APA SUDAH JADI, MALAYSIA?

Rasa tenteram dan aman hanya seketika.  Kini bergolak lagi dengan berbagai isu dan skandal.Bagaimanapun nampaknya orang Melayu kini telah menjadi berani semula di bumi sendiri.  Kita sudah berani membuat laporan polis. Kita sudah berani masuk ke parlimen.  Kita sudah berani menyaman.  Ini satu berubahan.  Dahulu kita cakap retorik saja dan bangsa lain tidak berasa takut.  Kini mereka seram juga.  Mungkin Melayu mulai hilang sabar.

Bila Karpal Singh menghebahkan dia adalah "Singh is King"; mengisytiharkan dirinya sebagai "Raja" atau "Yang Di-Pertuan Agung", ada niat menggantikan "Raja" yang maksudna menggulingkan kerajaan, beliau boleh dikenakan ISA.

Bagaimanapun para pemimpin Melayu mestilah bersih, ikhlas, tawadhuk, berani dan bijak.Berani saja tidak cukup, kena bijak juga.  Lihat saja krisis di Perak, kita lupa memecat Speaker.  Peguam kini baca kitab selalu dan lihat pengalman orang lain, negeri lain.  Wassalam.

White supremacists watched in lead up to Obama administrationWASHINGTON (CNN) -- Hate crimes experts and law enforcement officials are closely watching white supremacists across the country as Barack Obama prepares next week to be sworn in as the first black president of the United States.

U.S. Capitol Police check observation positions in advance of Tuesday's presidential inauguration.

So far, there is no known organized effort to express opposition to Obama's rise to the presidency other than a call by the National Knights of the Ku Klux Klan for its members to wear black armbands as well as fly the U.S. flag upside down on Inauguration Day and Obama's first full day in office.

As Tuesday approaches, when Obama stands outside the Capitol to take the oath of office, experts expect anger about the new president to spike. But they don't expect it to go away.

"The level of vitriol, I expect, will go up a bit more around inauguration time," said Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University-San Bernardino.

There "is concern" about white supremacist groups during the inauguration, said Joe Persichini, the assistant FBI director who is helping to oversee security during the inauguration.  What might the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. have said? »

The inauguration of the nation's first minority president increases any potential threat, "particularly stemming from individuals on the extremist fringe of the white supremacist movement," said a recent intelligence assessment by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.

But law enforcement has the appropriate resources to respond if needed, Persichini said.

"We have seen a lot of chatter," Persichini said. "We have seen a lot of discussions. We have seen some information via the Internet. But those are discussions. We look at the vulnerabilities and whether or not the groups are taking action.

"You have freedom of speech," he added. "Anyone in this nation can have a discussion about their beliefs, but we are concerned about whether or not they take that freedom of speech and exercise some act that is against the law."

Anger, violence and interest in racist ideology did increase in the hours and days after Obama was elected president in November, hate groups experts said.

Three New York men were indicted on charges of conspiracy to interfere with voting rights -- accused of targeting and attacking African-Americans in a brutal crime spree soon after Obama was declared the winner on November 4.

"Lesbian kiss sets tongues wagging

KUALA LUMPUR: The first-ever kiss by two Malaysian actresses will be shown on screens today, at nearly 50 cinemas nationwide.

Locking lips on screen are Nurliana Samsuddin and Sharifah Norazean, better known as Scha, in the horror flick Histeria.

In the intimate scene, Nurliana, who plays a lesbian schoolgirl, is supposed to express her interest for the character played by Scha.

"Scha plays a girl who is confused about her sexual orientation," Nurliana said, adding that the kissing scene was not in the original script.

"Scha and I were only supposed to hold hands to show our affection, but on the set, (director James) Lee told us to kiss."  "

Orang Hindu selama berdekad telah merosak akidah dan budaya orang Melayu dengan cara penyembahan yoga yang dijaja sebagai suatu senaman.  Alhamdullillah, pemimpin agama Islam dan politik akhirnya mengharamkannya sebulan yang lalu.

Kini seorang pengarah filem berbangsa China, masih muda dan baru dalam dunia perfileman, telah memaksa pelakon gadis Melayu untuk menjadi lesbian dan bercium pula. Jelas sekali pegarah China ini berusaha merosakkan akhlak, akidah dan budaya Melayu di Malaysia.  Sebagai pengarah berbangsa China, di samping masih muda dan membuat filem pertama, pastinya beliau mempunyai niat jahat.  Nak tunjuk berani.  Sebenarnya mencabar keseluruhan bangsa Melayu. 

Filem berjudul Histeria mula ditayangkan semalam.  Alhamdullillah babak itu telah dipotong oleh pihak berwajib.  Bagaimanapun media, ustaz dan pemimpin politik membisu seolah-olah merestui cabaran pengarah muda ini.

A middle class Malay perspective

The children of the Establishment tackle some difficult issues.

IN the strident and unnecessarily unpleasant debate over the concept ofketuanan Melayu and the Malay community’s political future, the quiet voices of urban middle-class Malays have yet to make themselves heard.

As a partial corrective, I spoke to several members of a tribe that, while small in number, is intriguing from a social anthropology perspective.

Dain-Iskandar Said is a writer and film director. His father was Datuk Mohamed Said Zain, a diplomat and intelligence officer.

He sees the concept of ketuanan Melayu as “outmoded, out of step with the times we live in, when the world is becoming more and more global. The world over, people are bringing down barriers of race, yet we are trying to instill and install those outmoded values.”

In his eyes, there are many aspects to the problem. “First, what is a Malay? Most Malays I know are some kind of mix, so who defines being Malay? Who are the guardians of the definition?

“The definition of ketuanan Melayu seems to be Umno; it always seems to lead back to Umno’s agenda."

Di atas adalah petikan daripada akhbar The Star yang memuatkan tulisan seorang penulis pojok berbangsa Melayu (?).  Tulisan ini hanya menggunakan maklumat hasil temubual dengan beberapa orang kelas menengah Melayu saja dan sama sekali tidak boleh dijadikan asas suatu rumusan.  Bagaimanapun memang sekarang apabila telah maju orang Melayu semakin berkecamuk. Mungkin mereka yang kita hantar ke negara barat pulang sebagai golongan liberal tiada jatidiri dan citarasa bangsa Melayu dan segologan yang ingin lari dari kebuasan barat masuk ke markas Islam berpaksi di Timur Tengah juga pulang tanpa jatidiri Melayu-Islam dan citarasa Melayu.  Yang liberal condong kepada PKR dan yang Islamis berkiblat kepada PAS.  UMNO hanya dapat saki-bakinya nasionalis Melayu.

Kerajaan harus memikirkan suatu dasar baru demi kelangsungan Melayu-Islam dan ketuanan Melayu.
