This only confirms the nagging perception that a section of our Malaysian citizens continue to deny the significance of the rulers' position in the nation as written in the Constitution. Ironically they are the same Malaysians who are quick to refer to the Constitution only if it concerned their point of view.

NON-MALAY MEDIA SAW RULERS' STATEMENT NOT IMPORTANT
The unprecedented statement issued by the Conference of Malay Rulers last Thursday was treated not important by many non-Malay media. The most popular Internet news media, Malaysiakini was silent. The Borneo Post, Sarawak based newspaper put the news somewhere in the inconspicuous middle section. Star-online, although it did not give prominence, the rulers' statement was among the most read news on Thursday and Friday.
